Thralve’s sire, Thorgal Von Eiderstadt, is an elite stallion, licensed and approved with the KNN and ZfDP. He was the site champion of the 2012 KNN grading. Thorgal is a solidly constructed Klassic type Knabstrupper with wonderful substance and Baroque charm. He is purebred with a high percentage of Molro af Thorsagar in his pedigree, tracing back to a Lippizzan mare.
Thorgal’s sire, Thunder Dream vom Trollmoor’s bloodline can be found in the quality Knabstruppers of Lille Hav and of Independence Stud. He is premium licensed through the ZfDP. Chaqita of Mountain is the very good dam line of Catherin of Independence, producer of licensed Knabstrupper stallions (Hussar, Helios, Edward, Pendragon).
Thorgal’s dam Carsta is a full sister to the impressive stallion PT Da Vinci, the first of two Knabstrupper stallions originally exported from Europe to Canada. This line has tremendous bone and top character. Just enough modern influence can be contributed to Apollon as well as the Oldenburg stallion Aleksander, credited with his own line of Sport-type Knabstruppers, having sired influential Knabstrupper stallions Conetti Lynghoj and Astor in Denmark.
Thralve’s dam, Sartors Afterparty, is from one of the most modern lines in sport to date. She achieved Best Mare at her ZfDP grading in Germany, and is full sister to Denmark’s 2021 Best Mare and Best in Show champion, Sartors Serenity.
Afterparty is by the outstanding Knabstrupper stallion Sartors Showtime who is quickly becoming a legend within the breed. Sartors Showtime originally left Denmark as a youngster to be developed at the prestigious Gestuet-Vorwerk’s private stud in Germany. Established over a century ago, the stud has stationed numerous Olympic producing stallion greats such as Furioso II, More Magic xx, Inshallah AA, Zeus, and Rubinstein, who have influenced breeding throughout Europe.
Showtime is a striking leopard son of the incomparable Oldenburg sire, Sir Donnerhall, who won his 30-day test scoring in all three gaits with top marks between 9.0 and 10.0 including a 9.5 for rideability. In his 70 day test he did even better scoring a dressage index of 163 points – a score never achieved by a stallion before. He sits amongst the top four in the WBFSH Ranking of the best dressage sires in the world, with his sire Sandro Hit being number 1! Sandro Hit had no less than 4 descendants competing in the 2021 Tokyo Olympics.
